Thrive! is the start of Lattice Works. 5 half days of expert training and support starting mid February 2015 that will help you and your organisation become more sustainable, become less reliant on grant funding, and so able to offer a better service to your community.

100 Days to Save the ‘Beating Heart of Ancoats’

Manchester has less than 100 days to save Ancoats Dispensary formally know as the Ardwick and Ancoats Hospital. This week, Ancoats Dispensary Trust (ADT), the grassroots community group working to restore one of Manchester’s most iconic Victorian buildings, announced that it needs to raise £55,000 by February 2015. This ‘match’funding will unlock over £770,000 of funding recently awarded by the Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF).

Royal Exchange Theatre Adult Daytime Programme Spring Summer 2015

Between the Lines is a play reading ad discussion groups for over 18s. Each session will focus on a play that in some way relates to a current position (thematically, through the time it was written or ‘in conversation’ with the play that is being produced). The session will not require everyone to read aloud but there will be opportunities to do so and to discuss the paly, as well as to gain insights into the production.

The procedures have been written so as to be part of the wider goal of improving the overall wellbeing of children and provide a framework for an integrated approach to safeguarding children from harm. Love Longsight grants – your community you decide

Greater Manchester Police has a fantastic opportunity to invest cash back of £30,000 into the community of the Longsight. The money set aside can be applied for in sums of £500 up to £3,000, and is there for you to invest in your local groups or community activities.

This cash is to support your local groups in order to assist you in planning community meetings, to purchase much needed equipment for youth engagement or to assist in transforming your street by neighbour involvement.

Youth Aspiration Fund – Grants to empower young people

Communities across Greater Manchester can benefit from a new £600,000 fund to empower young people and keep them out of trouble.

The Police and Crime Commissioner’s Youth Aspiration Fund will support work with vulnerable children and young people at risk of offending or risky behaviour.

Youth groups and organisations are invited to send in an ‘expression of interest’ for a slice of the money for projects aimed at keeping young people out of the criminal justice system and developing their life skills.
