Horsfall create and connect

The 42nd Street Horsfall creative groups and gallery might be closed at the minute but they have been busy thinking of ways to keep everyone connected and creative while we are all at home. Launching on Monday 23 March they will be running a fun, free accessible daily creative challenge on their social media to alleviate boredom and feelings of isolation that young people (and everyone) may be experiencing whilst at home. Climate Change and Sustainability Opportunity for Young People

Co-opThe Co-op's Young Member's Group, which is a platform for young people to have their voices heard in decision making and planning for the Co-op, are currently working on a project with the Food Policy Team that is focusing on how the Co-op as a business can be more sustainable and make it products more environmentally friendly.

Sorted Drop-In

Manchester Mind, Children and Young People’s Services, 709 Stockport Road, Levenshulme, M19 3AG

The weekly Sorted advice drop-in is for young people age 15-25. The drop-in provides advice on benefits, work, housing, studies, and money worries.

The drop-ins can give advice on all of the above plus appealing benefit decisions and maximising income.

Young people are invited to come and talk things through with an advisers who can try and help get things sorted.

No appointment necessary.

This an opportunity for young people age 15-25 to come along and find out more about Manchester Mind’s services in their relaxed and welcoming wellbeing cafe.

Find out about Manchester Mind’s offer including their mentoring service, volunteer opportunities, and advice services.

Young people can take part in wellbeing activities and meet new people.

No referral necessary.

One week radio project for care leavers aged 16 - 18

Meet new people and improve your skills by working on a group challenge to create podcasts throughout the week and broadcast a live show on the final day. Not only will it help you discover new talents, but you could also benefit from support from staff or a mentor to help you uncover your next steps.

iwill Fund 2020

IWill fund 2020Apply for grants of up to £35,000 to help young people support each other and improve wellbeing on the move up to secondary school.

This fund supports the aim of the iwill campaign to make social action part of life for as many 10 to 20 year-olds as possible, forming a habit of community involvement they will continue as adults.

Nurturing FoundationsSocial Saturdays provides: social skills training through creative engagement, interactive session, bitesize workshops and lots more. Drop off your young persons for three hours in a safe and social setting. Young people are positively supported and engaged through fun-based activities.
