Support the Young Person’s Guarantee

gmcaGreater Manchester’s Youth Task Force is inviting organisations to make commitments to young people.

This call for action is part of a piece of work being carried out to develop and deliver a Guarantee for young people in the city-region who have been impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic, and really help those aged 11 to 30 feel positive for their future.

Power2 wins £50,000 Movement for Good award

power2Greater Manchester-based Power2 is one of ten charities to receive £50,000 as part of Ecclesiastical Insurance’s Movement for Good awards.

The awards, set up by specialist insurer Ecclesiastical, have seen a total of £1million given to charities across the UK this summer. 500 charities have already been awarded donations of £1,000 and now 10 charitable organisations will benefit from £50,000 grants.

The GM Youth Employment Fund

prince's trustThe GM Youth Employment Fund is designed to pilot and test new approaches which will remove barriers to employment for young people. The Trust are specifically seeking proposals from organisations and consortia who can deliver innovative employability programmes that will help young people aged 16-25 in accessing employment or training.

The Strategic Legal Fund for Vulnerable Young Migrants

Not for profit organisations and private law firms working with vulnerable young migrants can apply for grants of up to £30,000. Grants will enable the organisation to undertake strategic legal work to benefit young migrants (under the age of 25) living in poverty who face significant disadvantage or discrimination in connection with their (or their parents') migration status. Average grant size is around £12,000.

Virtual Mental Health Awareness Workshops for Young People

manchester mindManchester Mind’s Young People’s Service Team can deliver Virtual Mental Health Awareness Sessions/Workshops free of charge via your preferred online platform e.g. zoom/teams for students and young people age 15-25 living in Manchester.
