How can policy be designed that truly reflects people’s lived experiences? Traditional policy making methods can struggle to capture the nuance, creativity and diversity of perspectives needed for effective decision making. This event showcases a different way forward.

As part of Wellcome Policy Lab-funded project, UCL Public Policy partnered with Scientia Scripta to explore creative approaches to policy development.

The capacity to better identify, quantify and communicate the social and environmental impact of an organisation is becoming increasingly important to manage limited resources and guide strategic decision making, as well as engaging effectively with external stakeholders such as funders, customers, volunteers and the media.

Who should attend?

In this workshop you will be taken through the five pillars of community wealth building, what they are, what they mean in practice and what it looks like when action is taken on each pillar in a place. The session will invite participants to explore community wealth building in the current UK context and evaluate its key role in developing an inclusive economy. By the end of the workshop you will have had a comprehensive introduction to community wealth building theory and practice.
