Round 5 of Rosa’s FGM Small Grants Programme is now open

Rosa is a charitable fund set up to support initiatives that benefit women and girls in the UK. Voluntary and community organisations are invited to apply for small grants to help tackle Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) in the UK. Grants of between £500 and £5,000 are available for voluntary and community organisations across the UK.

The Greater Manchester West Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust (GMW) dragons have identified another £150k non-recurrent funding for 2015/16 to support innovative proposals and ideas that will contribute to them achieving their Trust Quality Account priorities.

What do I need to do?
Just produce a short brief (no longer than a side of A4) outlining who you are, what you propose to do, which Quality Account priorities your bid covers and how much funding you need. No bid is too small but your bid should not exceed £10k.

Manchester Adult Education Service are looking for enthusiastic, committed volunteers who want to make a real difference to people’s lives and teach English. To be a volunteer ESOL teacher you will need to be able to demonstrate excellent skills in spoken and written English at Level 2 (GCSE equivalent) and good computer skills at Level 1.

As part of its continued commitment to preventing homelessness, Manchester City Council is aiming to provide investment in 2015/16 through the Directorate for Children and Families Homelessness Prevention Grants programme.

Hepatitis c testing in Greater Manchester

What is Hepatitis C?
Hepatitis C is a virus that can infect and damage the liver. In most cases it causes no noticeable symptoms until the liver has been damaged. The hepatitis C virus is found in the blood of someone with hepatitis C infection and is usually passed on through blood-to-blood contact such as by sharing razors or toothbrushes, or by sharing unsterilised needles.

Big Potential

Big Potential, a Big Lottery Fund grant fund, will deliver approximately £20m of grant funding over 3 years to eligible VCSE organisations with the aim of improving the sustainability, capacity and scale of VCSE organisations in order that they may deliver greater social impact.

The programme aims to raise awareness of the social investment market and support VCSEs who want to prepare themselves for social investment or winning contracts.

Big Potential has two possible application routes - Breakthrough and Advanced.

The Architectural Heritage Fund - Project Development Grant

The Project Development Grant (PDG) scheme is intended to assist an organisation to cover some of the costs of developing and co-ordinating a project and taking it towards the start of work on site.

To qualify, an organisation must have established that the end use of the project is likely to be viable and have decided to take the project forward.

The Project Development Grant (PDG) can cover some of the costs of developing and co-ordinating a project from after basic viability has been established up until work starts on site.
