The Seed Fund is a partnership between Forever Manchester, Oglesby Charitable Trust and Hogben Family, which encourages emerging grassroots, locally controlled groups that are less than one year old.

The fund supports individuals who have community ideas.
Awards of up to £1,000 are available.

Nine Lives Community Fund – next deadline 4 May 2015

The Nine Lives Fund is a partnership between Forever Manchester and the Chambers of 9 St. Johns Street, Manchester. The Fund is currently inviting applications from groups that provide activities for young people between the ages of 10 – 18 and living in deprived areas of Greater Manchester and with an income of under £150,000.

Priority will be given to projects working with children and young people with disabilities.

Awards of up to £2,000 are available.

The British Red Cross International Family Tracing service

The British Red Cross International Family Tracing (IFT) service helps those separated from their family members through armed conflict, disasters and migration to re-establish contact.

The predominant service users are asylum seekers and refugees but the service also works with those seeking information about family members whom they were separated from through World War Two.

Manchester parents needed for UK's largest bilingual project

Anna Coates, a Research Assistant, at the University of Manchester is currently working on the UK's largest bilingual project and is recruiting children who are 18-24 months old and who hear English and an additional language.

Parents of these children simply need to sign up to the study online and complete 3 short questionnaires when their child is approaching 2 years old.

New therapy group for gay and bisexual male survivors of abuse - Places still available

There are still places left on the new therapy group for gay and bisexual male survivors of sexual violation. The group is free to attend, but there are only 12 places available.

Survivors Manchester and The Lesbian & Gay Foundation (LGF) are launching a new therapy group for adult male survivors of childhood sexual abuse, who also identify as gay, bisexual or questioning. Applications are also welcomed from trans* men, who identify as gay, bisexual or questioning.

One Manchester Launches Community Fund

The One Manchester Community Fund will provide £500,000 in grant funding over the next five years. The first round of funding is open now, offering grants of up to £1,000 towards a range of projects that will improve the lives of people in our communities.

One Manchester is the new partnership between Eastlands Homes and City South Manchester Housing.
