This is a new course from Breakthrough UK to support disabled people to become digitally included, which begins on 1 July in Wythenshawe. Those who complete the 8 week course will receive a free Chromebook.
The course is for Manchester residents, aged 18 or over who identify as disabled and are digitally excluded.
Referrals need to be submitted by 28 June by calling 0161 234 3950 or text 0793 994 4232.
The Positive Identities team at Barnardo’s are excited to announce the launch of their survey, ‘Life as an LGBT+ young person in 2021’, which coincides with Pride Month.
It’s open to any young person aged 13-19 in England, who identifies as LGBT+ and/or who is questioning their identity.
Macc is reviewing our equalities and inclusion approach. We have been wanting to do this work for some time and while COVID-19 has disrupted so much over the last year, we believe this work is important and so we are now starting this as lockdown measures are easing. The One GM Community Fund is a partnership between the Greater Manchester’s Mayor’s Charity and Forever Manchester, distributing money generously raised by the Greater Manchester community to support those most affected by the Covid crisis across the area.
The One GM Community Fund is offering awards of up to £1,000.

A bike library is a simple concept. It’s a location where people can go to borrow a bike for free. Access to a bike is an issue in Greater Manchester (GM) with up to 75% of households not having one available. Therefore, even with the high-quality infrastructure being installed in many areas, if individuals do not have the ability to try it, maximum usage will not be achieved.

The Greater Manchester Combined Authority (GMCA) has launched a public consultation to gain a wide range of views on proposals developed to tackle gender-based violence in the city-region, ranging from how men and boys treat women and girls to strengthening services for victims and survivors.
The Greater Manchester Social Value Network (GMSVN) Steering group have worked with the Greater Manchester Combined Authority (GMCA) to create a short survey about the GMCA framework. The GMSVN would really appreciate your views by answering three questions about the GMCA framework and how Greater Manchester organisations are contributing to it.
