Targeted Lung Health Check Programme VCSE Briefing Note for Wythenshawe

The Targeted Lung Health Check programme moves to parts of Wythenshawe from January 2024. It will begin by offering Lung Health Checks to patients who are smokers aged 55-74 based at three GP practices in Wythenshawe in January and February. Then from April will be available to patients who are smokers aged 55-74 across other parts of Wythenshawe, Northenden, and Brooklands.Targeted Lung Health Check Programme

World AIDS Day takes place on 1 December each year. It’s an opportunity for people worldwide to unite in the fight against HIV, to show support for people living with HIV, and to commemorate those who have died from an AIDS-related illness.

Inclusion health groups lived experience project - expressions of interest wanted

Hearing from those with lived experience of health inequalities is vital to creating effective messages, interventions, and services.

Best practice in engagement with these groups is via organisations who have experience and planned approaches to addressing the varied barriers.

To strengthen engagement with these groups, The UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) want to hear from organisations who have built trusted networks and have the experience and expertise to address barriers and maximise opportunities for engagement.
