The programme aims to boost your confidence, help you meet new friends and gain new skills which will help you progress onto further study or straight into an exciting career of your choice.

I think the most critical thing for impactful mental health and wellbeing support for young people  (and by that I mean 11-25 year olds) is choice. A lot of services for young people are still very clinical and are threshold and diagnosis driven, particularly as young people transition into adulthood. Also, and understandably with the limitations on resources and continued uncertainty, many are still dictated by efficiency rather than preparedness and resilience. All of which limits choice.

Youth Elements resilience workshops

youth elementsYouth Elements are running two resilience workshops over the August holidays. Youth Elements are looking to partner with organisations across Greater Manchester, to deliver these workshop. The Youth Elements Team will come to the young people and visit a space of comfort, safety, and ownership. The sessions are provided free to young people. Young people will be awarded certificates for taking part in the session.

Create: Community – A free community drama and film project for young people over summer

Over 5 weeks you will meet with professionals to play creative games, learn skills in devising, film making and drama and create your very own film that looks at real life issues today. For ages 9 – 12 years. The workshops take place at Newton Heath Library, 2 Old Church St, Manchester M40 2JF.
