This year’s Annual Members’ Meeting also includes a ‘Community Health Fair’, that gives you and our wider communities the chance to meet the teams, pick up practical health advice, take part in activities and health checks. As well as learning more about how Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust are improving and transforming care for our patients.

This session, organised by Champs Public Health Collaborative, will provide insights from the Connect, Learn, Thrive programme, a collaborative approach that brings together expertise, opportunities for learning and developing a public health career pathway, as well as wellbeing resources.

This year’s Christmas Ball is extra special as it is a celebration of 15 years of Once Upon a Smile, marking a year of special activities and events and will be hosted by the charity Co-Founders, Danny Miller and Daniel Jillings.

In this session, Nubia Wellness & Healing (NWAH) will draw upon the best of African centred psychology, theories and wellness approaches to create a safer space for reflection, healing, recovery and optimisation.

The session will include breakout rooms for discussion aimed at helping people of African ancestry process recent events and the spiritual crisis and soul wound it may have stimulated in some eg.

The Thinking Shop is a 90-minute facilitated session exploring a simple question:

How much of what we are busy doing is actually helping us do what we exist to do?

It isn’t a training course. There are no presentations and no expert standing at the front with all the answers.

Join the gunnercooke charities team, Michele Price and Robert Nieri for a 45-minute webinar and short Q&A at 12:00 on Tuesday 20th October, to address recent legal, regulatory, governance and policy developments that may not only impact your charity but that you can harness with confidence to better advance your organisation’s purposes.

Advicenow are running a free course for organisations across England which support care leavers in securing their housing rights. The course will be delivered online and is funded by the National Lottery Reaching Communities project.

The course will give you the basic knowledge and skills you need to deal with key housing and benefits issues faced by people who have left care.
