Greater Manchester Combined Authority60 micro commissions worth £500 each will be given to artists and creators, based in Greater Manchester, across all artforms (music, art, poetry, theatre, short stories, design, gaming, stories, etc.

Get funding for a community event

Manchester City CouncilCommunity Events Funding is available from Manchester City Council to fully constituted community groups as development funding to help community based, not-for-profit celebrations and events grow and move towards becoming self sustaining. Horizons Festival 2020 – Call Out for Expressions of Interest

This opportunity is aimed at Northern-based artists and companies from refugee backgrounds.

Horizons Festival celebrates international arts and global culture and runs alongside Refugee Week. The festival features a week long programme of theatre, film, art, performance, workshops and debate showcasing the artistic talent of refugees and migrants.

The festival takes place at HOME, Manchester and is co-produced with Community Arts North West (CAN). The third Horizons Festival will take place between 13 and 20 June 2020.

DepaulThe And Breathe exhibition explores how people can interact with art to nurture their mental and emotional wellbeing.

It also considers the theme of care, particularly how we care for ourselves and our communities.

To understand the role a gallery can play in supporting those who care for others, Manchester Art Gallery asked the Depaul UK team to take part in a series of mindfulness sessions at the gallery.

Future Fires

ContactFuture Fires is a programme which supports young artists to develop a socially-engaged art project in their own communities. During the twelve-month programme, Future Fires will receive high-level training and mentoring to develop their creative practice, leadership and project management skills. Once the training is completed, Future Fires will receive up to £1,000 of funding to make it happen.
