Are you a Manchester voluntary, community and social enterprise sector organisation? Would you like to share a story of your activity to tackle the climate emergency, as part of the 2019 Spirit of Manchester Story Week in September?
We are looking for 20 VCSE organisations to share their stories during the week of 23-27 September.
Spirit of Manchester Story Week is a great way of celebrating the extraordinary everyday work of the Manchester voluntary, community and social enterprise sector. Now in its fourth year, the Story Weeks have captured many stories that have included a community café, a befriending scheme, working with children, and distributing food to people and communities across the city. These are shared widely on social media including by supporters such as Manchester City Council and Manchester Health & Care Commissioning.
Our partner this year is Manchester Climate Change Agency and this is one of a number of shared activities agreed between us.
In Manchester, there are over 3,000 voluntary sector organisations providing a wide range of services across the city and we would like your involvement in showcasing the impact we have on our communities and the climate. We will be recording one activity from a range of VCSE organisations over the space of a week (23-27 September) which will show the diversity and dedication of the sector in tackling the climate emergency and its likely effects on people across Manchester. We will then publicise this information via our website and bulletins, and on social media using the hashtag #SpiritofMcrStory.
