Impetus Leadership Academy
The Impetus Leadership Academy (ILA) is a leadership development programme to support talent from ethnic minority backgrounds in the UK youth sector to progress into senior leadership roles in youth education or youth employment organisations.
The programme supports participants to explore and develop their personal leadership styles, increase their knowledge in key management topics, and access networks that can unlock more senior leadership roles. The programme is designed and delivered by people from ethnic minority backgrounds for people from ethnic minority backgrounds.
Shifting the Conversation: developing our workforce and volunteering to support moving more
Supporting active lives for all means developing new skills, behaviours and mindsets with our paid workforce and volunteers. GM Moving has a strong history of creating opportunities for people to learn, share and test out ideas, and evolve new ways of working. This has been supported through three strands of work:
- Systems Leadership workshops and locality conversations/challenges
- Different Conversations Training
- Sports Volunteering Community of Practice and test and learn grants programme
