BUD – Lead Positive Change

Businesses Under Development (BUD) are delighted to offer a limited number of places for our signature 8-week online programme called Lead Positive Change. BUD are working alongside Ubele to empower BAME community members and provide the tools you need to launch your ideas.

Emergency grants for GM BAME Communities – micro grants round two

fundingGM BAME Network and GMCVO have launched a second round of their micro grants. The grants are for small GM BAME led VCSE organisations affected by the Covid-19 pandemic in order to respond to the needs of BAME communities.

Mali Enterprising Leaders England Programme

maliThe Mali Enterprise Leaders (MEL) England Programme is a capacity support and development programme targeted to the needs of micro and small Black, Asian and minority ethnic (BAME) led voluntary and community organisations who have been impacted on negatively by the pandemic.

Bursary available for BAME Fundraisers and Charity Leaders

fsiThe FSI have a small number of bursary places to support applicants who are from groups under-represented to access their SQA-accredited qualification in Fundraising Practice (Equivalent to QCF Level 3).

To be eligible to receive the bursary you must be a member of the FSI and your charity must have an annual income (as shown in your most recent annual accounts) of less than £250,000. You can register to become a member for free.

Ethnic disparities and inequality in the UK: GOV.UK call for evidence

researchCHARM (Communities For Holistic Accessible Rights-based Mental Health) have been asked by the government to review ethnic disparities and inequality in the UK, focusing on the following 4 areas: education employment and enterprise health crime and policing.

Take part in a new research project exploring ethnic minority older people’s experiences of racism and discrimination and life during the Covid-19 pandemic

researchAre you from an ethnic minority background? 
Are you aged 65 years or older?   

Then The University of Manchester want to speak to you about your life experiences of racism and discrimination and how these have affected your life. The University also want to hear what life has been like for you during the Covid-19 pandemic and recent Black Lives Matter movement and protests in the UK.  

BAME Millennials navigating space under lockdown

bame millennialsThe Ubele Initiative is looking for 12 BAME adults (18-30 year olds) to participate in a 4 month project to capture and share young BAME adults’ experiences of Covid-19 and associated lockdown responses.
