National Prospectus Grants Programme 2013-15

The Department for Education’s National Prospectus Grants Programme 2013-15 is now open to applications. Applicants are invited to submit proposals to improve outcomes for children, young people and families with a particular emphasis on early intervention and supporting the most disadvantaged.

Learning from Zoe; A troubled teenager

The Manchester Safeguarding Children Board has piloted the new Social Case Institute for Excellence methodology focusing on a Manchester young person, who for the purpose of the events has been named 'Zoe'. The pilot has now been concluded and a number of findings recorded. The next step is to share these findings and consult with the Manchester children's workforce to inform an action plan.

Cash for Kids Greater Manchester

Cash for Kids is the official charity of Key 103 & Magic 1152 and provides a helping hand to disabled and disadvantaged children across Greater Manchester.

Each year they hope to have thousands of pounds available for grants to children’s charities, individuals and many other causes throughout their transmission area.

Teach First is an independent charity working to break the link between low family income and poor educational attainment, which is greater in the UK than in almost any other developed country.

Teach First enables its participants and ambassadors in the classroom to raise the achievement, aspirations and access to opportunity of children from low socio-economic backgrounds, whilst developing a network of leaders with a life-long commitment to ending inequality in education from both inside and outside the classroom.
