The Pankhurst Trust (Incorporating Manchester Women’s Aid) (PTMWA) is a women’s led organisation whose vision is to ensure that people, suffering, or at risk of, domestic abuse receive appropriate support. They deliver services from their base at the Pankhurst Centre, the former home of Emmeline Pankhurst and her daughters and the birthplace of the Women’s Social and Political Union (WSPU) and the Suffragette movement.

Free furniture available for collection by 24 Aug

As a result of emptying Daisy Mill Manchester City Council have free furniture to dispose of by Monday 24 August 2015.

There is various furniture available including around 50 chairs, desks and filing cabinets of various descriptions.

If you are interested, contact Dave Templeton on 07841 096965, to arrange to have a look at what’s available on Monday and to take it away.

Sky Ride is coming to Manchester

The streets of Manchester will be closed to traffic on 2 August, as thousands of people are set to descend on the city in celebration of all things cycling at Sky Ride 2015.

One of fifteen major events taking place across the country this summer, Sky Ride Manchester 2015 is set to be a brilliant day out. Start your ride at the renowned National Cycle Centre or cycle under the magnificent Chinese arch in Manchester’s iconic Chinatown.
