We Love MCR Charity – apply for a grant

Applications are invited from Manchester based Charities, Organisations and Others to the ‘We Love MCR Charity’ The Lord Mayor of Manchester’s Charity Appeal Trust.

Aims of the Charity
The Charity was set up as a Trust to distribute funds “for Charitable purposes for the general benefit of the inhabitants of the City of Manchester as the Trustees shall think fit”.

The Charity’s primary aim is to improve the lives and life chances of Manchester People.

Age-friendly Manchester Small Grants

The Age-friendly Manchester Small Grants fund, run in partnership with Trinity House Community Resource Centre, provides grants of up to £300 to community groups working with or for older people in the City of Manchester. Most awards are short-term events or projects but funding also given to groups for subsistence support.

Greater Manchester Work Programme Leavers Tender

A new 3 year tender has been issued by Salford Local Authority on behalf of all the Greater Manchester Authorities for support into employment for people who have gone through the work programme and have not got a job. Bidders can apply to deliver support just for Manchester or for multiple authorities.  There is a meeting for potential applicants in Manchester on Thursday 5th December from 2-4pm at Friends Meeting House, 6 Mount St, M2 5NS.

RNIB desperately needs Sooty Box Collectors in Greater Manchester

Could you or someone you know be an invaluable help to the Royal National Institute of Blind People (RNIB) by emptying or finding a new home for our lonely Sooty collection boxes?

RNIB urgently need volunteers across Manchester to help raise funds to provide vital services to blind and partially sighted people. Your spare time could open doors for people with sight loss.
