Macc, together with VYM and Manchester City Council jointly carried out an evaluation of Manchester City Council's Youth and Play Services Commissioning (2014/15) which has, as yet, not been published. The statement explains the position of Macc and VYM who want to see the evaluation published as soon as possible, and the steps that have been agreed with Manchester City Council to make this happen.
The BBC Children in Need Main Grants programme is open to charities and not-for-profit organisations applying for grants over £10,000 per year for up to three years.
Grants are given for:
Children and young people of 18 years and under experiencing disadvantage through:
1. Illness, distress, abuse or neglect
2. Any kind of disability
3. Behavioural or psychological difficulties
4. Living in poverty or situations of deprivation
The Fund has allocated a small budget to help community groups run summer play schemes for disadvantaged communities. Some priority will be given to projects which show they are inclusive of children from refugee families, and show BME involvement.

Retrak’s vision is a world where no child is forced to sleep on the street. This is a big challenge, and they can’t do it alone.
They are recruiting volunteers to give street children a voice and enable them to save more children’s lives.
Retrak are a Greater Manchester based international charity which relies on local support. They are partnered with Greater Manchester Police and Greater Manchester Fire Service, and now they are expanding in to the community to try and find more support for vulnerable children.
