One of the dangers for me in writing a blog is that I'll end up writing only about things I'm angry about (there seems to be quite a lot at the moment) and it will become a terribly depressing read. However, I'm not going to apologise for the bleak picture I'm about to paint because it's what's really happening to people in our communities.

Equalities Funding Programme Drop-In Sessions

Manchester City Council are proposing to change the way in which they spend the £600,000 of equality themed grant funding, including changing the criteria used to decide how to allocate grant funding.

Equalities Funding Review

Manchester City Council’s Third Sector team is looking at new ways of allocating equalities funding. By combining the Race, Disability, LGBT and Gender pots of funding the Council can achieve its equality targets more effectively.

The public consultation that runs from the end of August until the end of October will give organisations and the general public an opportunity to express their views on the review.
