The Institute of Community Reporters (ICR) is currently working in communities around Greater Manchester to gather people’s experiences and views on public services. They are training up groups of people as Community Reporters to use pocket devices and technology to record these experiences as video or audio stories, and share them with others online. 
Henshaws is a well-established registered charity based in the North of England supporting people with sight loss or other disabilities to go beyond expectations, to live independent and fulfilling lives. 
In September 2016 the Board approved an ambitious strategic plan to grow its diverse range of services in a number of geographical areas and implement a digital strategy to enable a worldwide audience to benefit from the Charity’s expertise.

Greater Manchester Coalition of Disabled People (GMCDP) Advice/Advocacy Project is for young disabled person aged 15 to 25 living in Manchester. 
Greater Manchester Coalition of Disabled People (GMCDP) has drafted a Disabled Peoples Manifesto. GMCDP’s intention is to present the Manifesto at a hustings of the main Mayoral candidates in April 2017, more details to follow once a date and venue has been confirmed. 
WDBS (World Disability Billiards and Snooker) are looking for companies and organisations who operate in the Manchester area to provide financial sponsorship by way of prize money for the respective disability groups which this tournament is catering for. The WDBS is a non-profit organisation and therefore the financial sponsorship is held directly by them and given to the players at tournaments end. 
Manchester City Council is seeking to have a number of providers on an Approved list who can deliver a range of different options for short break services to children and young people with a disability. 
These are categorised under four headings:
• Lot 1 - Personal Care Assistance Services
• Lot 2 - Sitting Services
• Lot 3 - Befriending/Outreach Services
• Lot 4 - Sessional Recreation Activities
Greater Manchester Coalition of Disabled People (GMCDP) is a disabled people's organisation that is 100% run and controlled by disabled people. The organisation campaigns for the rights and full inclusion of disabled people.
