We will be thinning out/felling non-native and dominant tree species from the woodland, removing lower branches from trees to allow more light to reach the woodland floor and removing invasive species, like Cherry laurel and Rhododendron. The RNLI is looking for Water Safety Officers, a pivotal role where you can be involved in the design and implementation of the Water Safety Lifesaving Plan. A Water Safety Lifesaving Plan is designed to identify “at risk” groups to reduce fatalities and serious incidents. You would be coordinating the local Water Safety team and collaborating with partners to create targeted interventions and assess how effective they are. This is a great volunteer opportunity for someone who can work confidently within the RNLI while also leading a small team and operating independently when needed.
