OUT loud-LGBT carers have your say

Manchester Carers Network, a group of 21 voluntary organisations who provide information, advice and support to carers, is working with LGBT Foundation, who deliver support and information services to lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans (LGBT) communities, with an aim of understanding the views of LGBT carers and learning how they can help improve access to services, support and information that is relevant and beneficial to them as a carer.

Young Manchester enables young Mancunians to learn through adventure

Young Manchester has launched their new fund for the City that will enable children and young people to take part in outdoor activities and enjoy residential trips to expand their learning.

The Outdoor Learning and Adventurous Activity Fund has commissioned £40,000 which will enable 19 Manchester based organisations to run 22 different activities over the next nine months. Water Adventure Centre

Adoption Agency Caritas Care appeal for people to come forward to Adopt Siblings

Caritas Care are keen to talk to people who would be interested in adopting a sibling group.

In the North West a staggering 64% of children waiting for adoption are part of a sibling group. While the idea of taking on multiple children can initially seem overwhelming to potential adopters, keeping these little units together as much as possible is heartbreakingly crucial.

Labour consultation on national statutory youth service

The Labour Party has issued a consultation document on youth services.

They state that "Youth services do a vital job in our communities. The benefits they provide for young people are real and long-lasting. However, with direct government funding to local authorities falling by a half since 2010, youth services have seen significant cutbacks as councils seek to make savings. This means that a generation of young people could potentially be left without the opportunity to play a full part in our communities."

Grant Programme for Inter Faith Week 2018 now open for applications

A Small Grants Programme from Inter Faith Youth Trust for events organised by and for young people focused around Inter Faith Week 11-18 November 2018 is now open for applications.

The Inter Faith Youth Trust will be awarding small grants up to £500 for organisations running events or projects connected with Inter Faith Week 2018.

2019 GSK IMPACT Awards – Core funding and free training for health charities

GSK’s IMPACT Awards reward charities that are doing excellent work to improve people’s health. Organisations must be at least three years old, working in a health-related field in the UK, with income between £80,000 and £2.5 million. Up to 20 awards will be made ranging from £3,000 to £40,000 plus free training valued at up to £6,000. Organisations will also have a film made, receive help with press and publicity and be given a set of promotional materials.
