AFRUCA County Lines Child Trafficking Family Support Service

AFRUCA is a national charity promoting the well-being and protection of children and families in Black and ethnic communities in the UK. The County Lines Child Trafficking Family Support service afrucahas been established in response to the growing problem of child criminal exploitation across Manchester.

Warburtons Families Matter Community Grants Programme

Warburtons has announced the next set of deadlines for its Community Grants programme. The scheme offers small grants of up to £400 to not-for-profit organisations with fundingcharitable purposes that are operating in England, Scotland and Wales.

Employees of Warburtons are also able to apply on behalf of organisations if they are actively involved with them (e.g., they are a volunteer, trustee or active supporter).

Helping Hand

The Greater Manchester Combined Authority  has launched a new online resource to help guide residents to support available in their area, covering a variety of topics including help with food bills, helping handenergy, childcare costs, pension credit top-up, help with transport costs, mental health and well-being (including gambling harm) and digital inclusion.

Free children's books

Northmoor Community Association have partnered with Manchester children's charity Wood Street Mission to provide brand new children's book for free. Every week children aged 0-16 can get a children's booksnew book to keep. Pick up your free book from Northmoor Hub, 103 Northmoor Road, Longsight M12 5RT, 10am-1pm on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and 3pm-6pm on Wednesdays.

Kids eat free or less summer 2022

Supermarket cafes, chain restaurants and food venues all around the UK are offering the 'Kids Eat Free' deal during school holidays. Money Saving Central has produced a list of places where kids can eat for free or for less during the summer holidays. More places are being added and the information will be updated on the Money Saving Central website
