Small Charity Week is brought to you by the Foundation for Social Improvement (FSI), who with the support of partner organisations ensure the work of small charities is recognised and celebrated.

2013 International Year of Water Cooperation

World Water Day is held annually on 22 March as a means of focusing attention on the importance of freshwater and advocating for the sustainable management of freshwater resources.
An international day to celebrate freshwater was recommended at the 1992 United Nations Conference on Environment and Development (UNCED). The United Nations General Assembly responded by designating 22 March 1993 as the first World Water Day.

Community RePaint is a network of paint reuse schemes across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. Last year, it saved 387,495 litres of paint from going to waste by distributing it to individuals and communities who needed it.

Fairtrade Fortnight 25 February - 10 March

Monday 25 February marked the start of Fairtrade Fortnight.

Fairtrade Fortnight sets aside two weeks every year in which the principles and products of Fairtrade are promoted and the links between consumers and producers is highlighted. Fairtrade Fortnight is the nationwide effort to promote awareness of Fairtrade and urge people to buy products carrying the FAIRTRADE Mark.
