The Refugee Welcome Trust are offering an interactive workshop promoting understanding of the asylum process and how it might feel to be a refugee.

How it works
It’s a card game based session looks at some of the situations and experiences for refugees as they leave their home country and travel to the UK. The game goes through some typical stages of the asylum process with each participant being given a character to take along the journey and discussion about each stage.

Every Friday 12.30pm-3.30pm come along and enjoy the social-café, craft and cooking workshops.

Also banish the Sunday blues for a fortnightly session 3pm-8pm starting on Sunday 19 October 2014.

On Sunday’s 19 October, 2, 16, 30 November and 14 December, 3pm-6pm there are creative-craft workshops and the Rusholme Film Club starting at 6pm.

Charity regulator urges people to help the victims of the humanitarian disaster in Gaza

As is its normal practice in response to a national appeal such as the Disasters Emergency Committee Gaza appeal, the Charity Commission is providing guidance to the public on giving safely to charity. The Commission is encouraging the public to help the victims of the humanitarian disaster in Gaza by donating to registered charities with experience of working in high-risk areas and conflict zones.

The Deaf Health Champions project is hosting a Deaf Health Day on Friday 5 September 2014, 10am - 3pm at the Manchester Deaf Centre, Booth Street East, Manchester, M13 9GH to provide the Deaf community of Greater Manchester opportunity to access information on local health and social care services.
