The Manchester Safeguarding Boards (MSB) comprises the Manchester Safeguarding Adults Board (MSAB) and the Manchester Safeguarding Children Boards (MSCB). The Boards share an Independent Chair, Julia Stephens-Row; and are supported by the MSB Business Unit. 
New Manchester charity, Young Manchester, has partnered with the #iwill Fund to create a £2 million partnership to support social action through youth and play provision across the City of Manchester. 
City Year UK believe that young people can change the world. For a full academic year the City Year volunteers, aged between 18-25 years, act as role models and mentors to children in schools in disadvantaged communities, helping them to reach their full potential. 
Volunteers in Manchester, led by poet Lemn Sissay, are fundraising to provide a Christmas Dinner for 50 local Care Leavers, and they need the support of the local community to make it happen. 
For many Care Leavers in the UK, Christmas can be a difficult time, a day spent alone in a bedsit or hostel, feeling isolated and with nowhere else to go.
The Greater Manchester Business Awards are accepting entries for the Young Business Person of the Year Award for which will celebrate the Professionalism and Excellence of Businesses and Organisations in Greater Manchester. The Awards are independently judged by a Panel of business peers assigned to ensure a fair and open judging system for the Business Awards. 
The Social Mobility Foundation supports ambitious young people from less-privileged backgrounds to access top universities and careers. They run completely free of charge programmes featuring mentoring, internships with top companies, university application support, as well as professional development and skills workshops for high achieving young people across the UK. 
#iwill is a UK-wide campaign to promote meaningful social action, including volunteering, campaigning or fundraising, amongst young people aged between 10-20. During #iwill Week 2017 (November 20-24) help celebrate young people who lead social action and their capacity for bringing others together. The week marks the fourth anniversary of the campaign and is all about shining a light on the impact that young people are having, as well as the great work of the 700+ #iwill partners who’ve pledged to create more social action opportunities.
The purpose of this fund is Youth and Play, delivered by neighbourhood and city wide voluntary and community sector (VCS) partners to ensure children and young people aged 5-19 (up to 25 for care leavers and those with additional needs) have sufficient good quality access to Youth and Play services in their local areas and where the needs are greatest.

Greater Manchester Youth Network (GMYN) wants to get the message out about the importance of youth work in Manchester, specifically the contributions volunteers make to young people’s services. The theme of Youth Work Week this year is ‘Youth Services: youth work for today and tomorrow’ and GMYN know that many organisations benefit from the support of volunteers to help deliver youth work that young people learn and grow from and feel empowered by. GMYN wants to celebrate this and in turn give thanks to organisations who support volunteers to be involved.
Vinspired have teamed up with Comic Relief to offer 100 Cashpoint Grants to help young people aged 14-25 run LGBTQ+ social action projects in their communities.
