Volunteers Week 2020 (June 1 - 7) is so different this year due to the Covid-19 outbreak. First of all, all of us here at Macc would like to send our best wishes to all of you out there and we hope that you stay well and continue to look after yourself and those close to you in these anxious and uncertain times.
Chairs of GMCVO, the GM VCSE Leadership Group, the GM BAME Network and GM BAME SE Network and the GM Social Enterprise Network have written to the Chancellor, the Rt. Hon. Rishi Sunak asking for more support for voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) organisations.
The government cannot afford to overlook or undervalue the not-for-profit sector at the moment. As we navigate the worst impacts of the coronavirus outbreak, people across the country are relying on VCSE organisations, the essential support they provide and how they shape our society for the better.
This training was designed by the British Red Cross for anyone who is responding to the coronavirus outbreak. Whether you’ve been deployed by a charity or have decided to lend a hand to a neighbour, it tells you what you need to know to look after yourselves and others. The content of this course will be regularly updated to reflect the latest situation and advice from government.

A group of volunteers from Manchester Refugee Support Network (MRSN) have come together and are here for you.
With the ever-changing developments of COVID-19 and the impact it is having on Mustard Tree they are now in need of some short-term volunteer support to help deliver their crisis offers.
Mustard Tree currently require support around the following opportunities, which qualify as key workers roles:
NHS Volunteer Responders and others who are volunteering to help their communities during the coronavirus outbreak do not need to contact their insurer to update their documents or extend their cover, the ABI have said. The reminder comes as over half a million people have signed up to be NHS Volunteer Responders.
