Pay Compare launches Ratio Requesters Initiative to boost UK pay ratio reporting

Pay Compare, the UK campaign to promote pay ratio reporting by employers, has unveiled its Ratio Requesters initiative provided on its new and enhanced website at: www.paycompare.org.uk.

Any member of the public can now be a Ratio Requester and use Twitter, an online form or a downloadable action pack to ask any employer to publish their pay ratios at the Pay Compare website for everyone to see and compare.

Consultations launched into voluntary sector role in health and care

Two consultations have been published to help to determine the future of voluntary sector involvement in health and care.

As part of the Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise (VCSE) review, respondents from the voluntary and health and social care sectors will give their views on the current state of partnership working, and how closer collaboration could be fostered.

The second consultation will also seek views on the role and effectiveness of the government’s current ‘voluntary sector investment partnership’ suite of grants.

Police funding formula - Home Office consultation

The Home Office is currently consulting on the formula it uses to fund the police. This is the calculation made which decides how much money is allocated from central Government to police services across the country. In Greater Manchester, police are funded through a combination this grant and money raised locally through council tax. Most of the money comes from the government and the police rely heavily on this grant to deliver policing services.
