The Booth Centre believe in bringing about positive change in the lives of people who are experiencing homelessness or are at risk of homelessness, to help them plan for and realise a better future. The Booth Centre are looking for people who can help them deliver their vision for the Booth Centre over the coming years by joining their board of trustees.
As you may be aware, earlier this year Manchester City Council and Manchester Health and Care Commissioning launched a competitive tendering process for the contract to provide support to the city's voluntary and community sector for the next three years. We are delighted to announce that Macc has been awarded this contract.
The Manchester Sleepout is a challenge event so prepare to be challenged. It isn’t a festival. Hear powerful accounts of personal experience and insights into the Booth Centre’s work before trying to get some sleep outside in the grounds of the Manchester Cathedral; a place of importance for the Booth Centre as that was their first home when the Booth Centre was founded in 1995.
The Manchester Safeguarding Partnership (formerly Manchester Safeguarding Adults Board and Manchester Safeguarding Children Board) needs your help. If you work in an agency in Manchester delivering services, especially to vulnerable adults, please complete the Homelessness Thematic Review survey.

The Booth Centre are looking for enthusiastic volunteers willing to support their services and activities. The Booth Centre is open Monday-Friday, 9am-4pm and welcome people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.

The Queen's Award for Voluntary Service is the highest award given to local volunteer groups across the UK to recognise outstanding work done in their own communities. It was created in 2002 to celebrate the anniversary of The Queen's coronation. It is the MBE for volunteer groups. 
Monday 22 July 2019 marks 100 years (to the day) of the formation of Manchester and Salford Council of Social Service. Macc, Salford CVS and Gaddum have worked together to mark the occasion with a celebratory event at the People’s History Museum. We felt it is important to mark 100 years of social action across the twin cities of Salford and Manchester.
The Greater Manchester Homelessness Action Network (GMHAN) have been tasked by Mayor Andy Burnham with developing a ten year GM Homelessness Prevention Strategy, with the Accountability Board (chaired by GM Housing and Homelessness Portfolio Lead City Mayor Paul Dennett) taking responsibility for starting and guiding this process.
